Crisis + Emergency Risk Communication

Please join us for a free communications workshop aimed to assist those hospital employees who
may be tasked to serve in the role of Public Information Officer (PIO) during an emergency event.

The workshop is based on training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and will be conducted by UDOH Risk Communication Specialist Charla Haley.

The workshop will discuss messaging and the role of spokesperson in a disaster or emergency scenario. The workshop will draw from lessons learned during public health emergencies as well as research in
the fields of public health and emergency risk communication.

This program is being offered free of charge but advanced registration is required. Lunch is included.
